Nike is the most prominent clothing and equipment company in the sporting world. Air Jordan, and the Jumpman brand are a division of Nike. In 1999, Jordan signed sports superstars like Derek Jeter of the New York Yankees and professional boxer Roy Jones, Jr. Nike has an exceptional tennis line, including recent shoe releases and plenty of equipment for the player. However, the Jordan brand could add Roger Federer, given his recent dominance of the sport, as a quality ambassador of the product.
Nike and Lacoste are the world's leading manufacturers for tennis apparel, but it could potentially enter a league of its own by updating Federer to the Jordan roster, while increasing popularity for the sport and solidifying Federer's position as the best player in the world all the while.
Nike is already endorsed by such tennis stars as Maria Sharapova, James Blake, Rafael Nadal, Serena Williams and Federer.
